Ned is Civil and Architectural Engineer, who's love of baseball has drawn him to this project. Ned has played baseball his whole life and spent every summer on the diamond. As a pitcher he has been on the receiving end of a few come backers. One of his goal's of this project is to expand the use of wooden bats in competitive leagues.

Dennis Rupp
dar324@Drexel.edu

Dennis is a freshman studying Mechanical Engineering at Drexel University and takes a liking to any competitive physical activity. Coming from northern New Jersey he was always outside. While not, a large advocate of baseball, Dennis loves the growth of safety in sports, allowing players to play longer while staying safe. Dennis’ goal from this project is to understand the science behind the specific sport, and try to create a “different” wooden bat.

Dan Sager
dss86@Drexel.edu
Dan is a freshman studying Mechanical Engineering at Drexel University and a lifelong baseball fan and player. Hailing from New York, his allegiance is to the Yankees, but luckily the engineering behind a wood bat is the same for all teams. The pairing of two of his passions, science and sports is a field that he is greatly interested in and looks forward to exploring more deeply in this project.
